Call Evil, Evil and Good, Good!

I have spent the majority of my life as a preacher of God’s Word. Never once have I exposed sin out of hatred for people. I hated sin and what it has done, but never the people who have been caught up in the snare of the devil.

My purpose in preaching is to bring hope to those who have lost their way. To show them there is a better way than the what the world offers. The Lord revealed long ago…”There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” My job is to warn people that the devil has changed the BEWARE Of SIN signs on the roads of life. We need the direction, from the God who loves us and created us for heaven, to lead us. “It is not in man to direct his own steps” (Jeremiah 10:23).

Most of what the world tells us is fun, good, lasting and worthwhile is not. Ask the dying man if his life gathering money only for his own pleasure was fulfilling. Ask people who are strung out on body, mind and family destroying drugs if those drugs truly made them happy. Look at the many children who long for and deserve a mother and father in their home. Why so many? It is because selfish people didn’t love them or their mates enough to care and sacrifice for them. But the devil tells people that they deserve to play the field, to have as many sexual encounters as they desire without any responsibility for the offspring they might have. Divorce has destroyed many families, but even more destroyed are the hearts of wives, husbands, children, and grandparents abandoned to loneliness and pain. We live in a time when people are relabeling sin as something other than the destructive thing that it is.

God knows our needs and gives us the way to joy and life abundant (John 10:10). Until a person seeks God with their whole heart they will continue to live lives of suffering and woe.

Please look to the Bible that contains all things that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Also know that I love you and want you to enjoy this life, but more importantly the life that is to come. So I will always define sin as clearly as humanly possible. I will always try to show the strait path as revealed in Scripture.
