I am highly upset! No, I am really angry! How did it happen that we have denigrated the beautiful, God given role of motherhood so much? I am ashamed that our President has relabeled mother as “birthing person.” Talk about trashing the hardest job known to any human. Mothers do much more than give us life.
Our mother’s kiss healed bruised knees and broken hearts. Her cheer-bringing love erased hurt feelings and made us believe there was no one in the world more important than ourself. Her value is far above what is being given her.
Her comforting love erased hurt feelings and made us believe there was no one in the world more important than ourselves. Only God could love us more.
Moms do for us many things that a father isn’t as capable of doing. She understands, listens, and weeps with us. Sadly, too many times she cries over us. There isn’t a person more important to children than their mother. We run to her with hurts, seek her when we have problems, long for her when she is away, and grieve her more than perhaps any other person in our lives when she dies.
No our godly moms are much more than someone who gave birth. It is from her that we learn just about every important lesson we need in life. She looks beyond our faults and show us how to be better. The great wise man of Proverbs taught us that her value exceeds rubies. You can’t buy a mother’s love. You cannot escape her care even when we are old ourselves if she is still on earth she is watching over us!
Please, please give mothers the praise they deserve. Don’t downplay the value of precious gift we have in our mom.

Her ability to care for and rear her children all the while keeping a house a home and a husband happy is unmatched in heroism in this world save what Jesus did on the cross.
